Does anyone know of any software similar to the Nvidia Profile Inspector that works with WIndows 98? Or possibly a version of NPI that works? The version I tried yesterday was too modern and I haven't been able to locate the first release from 2010. Though I imagine that would be too modern as well.

So far, whenever I've enabled V-Sync in the Nvidia Properties/Control Panel, with both my Geforce 4 and Riva TNT, the setting never seems to work and I still get tearing. NPI has always been a great alternative from my experience, but it doesn't look like I'll be able to get it working.

I tried 2.24c, which is on Phil's Computer Lab, and whilst it works great, I'm still not able to cap the frame rate. Much like with the Nvidia Control Panel, I can enable V-Sync, but the frame rate is still unlocked. I've only tested a couple of games so far and they don't appear to have any tearing at least. But yeah, I can't seem to specify the frame rate I want. Haven't seen an option to set the frame rate in RivaTuner or D3DOverrider.

RivaTuner has force vsync option for D3D and OpenGL, which should always work. Specifying frame rate wasn't a thing in 9x era.

Makes sense. Though this is where I prefer Nvidia Profile Inspector and its many customisable options. 😁

Oh. I forgot to mention too. I even set the monitor refresh rate to 60Hz, but the game's frame rate was still uncapped. 😮 That usually always works for me.
