Having a bit of trouble with my Windows XP/Windows 10 dual boot system.

I have an ASUS PG279Q G-Sync monitor, and I can't get windows to detect all the supported resolutions. It only detects its native, 2560x1440 and then 1600x900 1024x768, 800x600 and that's it. I can get the other resolutions sort of working by adding them as custom resolutions, but then the monitors resolution scaling wont work, and the picture is stretched accross the whole screen. All the resolutions show up and work just fine in Windows 10.

Is there any way to fix this, or is this simply a quirk of trying to use a monitor that is "too new"?

Connected via DisplayPort btw, since it lets me get a pleasant 85hz at native resolution (1440p).

I had the same problem moving from a Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 to my current Asus GTX 960. It happened with three different monitors connected via dvi. I could not even display the Bios screen correctly because of this. Problem solved by connecting the monitor to the gpu through hdmi.
