Hi,
I seem to be having issues in using an ISA sound card (ES1868F) with a via PLE133T based board (M6VLR). It is basically a microatx board with 3 PCI, 1 amr and 1 ISA slot.
Although the card works fine under windows 98, on switching over to real DOS mode, many games just freeze up at the loading screen even before starting (DOOM, DOOM 2, Jazz Jackrabbit, Prince of persia). Hardly 1 or 2 games work fine (wolfenstein 3D). However the same card worked fine in another full s370 ATX board (via 694X based board) with nearly every DOS game I tested worked fine.
I read somewhere on youtube that this particular chipset (which is always micro ATX ) seems to be having problems with ISA sounds cards due to an ISA bridge as compared to other ATX sized s370 boards.
Could anyone share their experience in using this chipset (PLE133T) based board with ISA sound cards?
