Hello Guys!

I'm asking for help with Alaris Leopard Plus 486SLC2 motherboard.
Id like to build some config around it,but so far not find much about it,its was some kind of OEM only motherboard maybe.
Dont know if it worth the effort,or even its worth anything? but for look its seems intresting 😀
My problem with the jumpers, and cpu support mostly,if its possible i like to upgrade on socket3 with better CPU than the soldered one on the mobo(66 Mhz IBM 486 cpu).
But i guess, like most of the mobos of the time, its not just put in and go,i see several jumpers but not much info about is which one doing what.
Please if anyone have some information about it,i would be happy 😀

I guess its for ext-battery near AT connector.

The board only supports 5V CPUs, so you can do a trial and error to find the right configuration.

The mobo on the link looks different,Jumpers in different position/numbers also diff.VLB slots too
Safe to use it?

Like I said, you can't damage the CPU by setting the voltage too high. But remember to use only a 5V CPU.

The Retro Web may have different info. Try https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/alaris … rd-plus-486slc2

I'm too out of it (because of kidney problems and codeine for the pain) to look through it properly. It doesn't have all the info from stason.org, but if you can identify the chipset, you may find info on The Retro Web that could help.

See my graphics card database at www.gpuzoo.com
Constantly being worked on. Feel free to message me with any corrections or details of cards you would like me to research and add.

I'd use the motherboard as it is and use some proper 486 VLB or PCI motherboard if you want a real 486.
