I'm trying to fix the GeForce3 card and need advice about which part of the card may create the next artifacts. Symptoms:
- PC and Windows boot successfully
- Windows can run only the default resolution 640x480x8
- Any other resolution causes infinite reboots (monitor falls in the "no signal" mode)
- There are several artifacts (see screenshots)

The capacitors are visually ok. I've tried to check and replace random capacitors but they are ok.
I'm confused by the screenshot 1 and 2. It looks like a BIOS chip (flash?) has the wrong data.
Thanks for any ideas.

Offset in characters seems consistent, makes me think a low data line, like the 2nd is contacting badly somewhere, either at ROM, RAM or GPU.

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

Make sense! I'll try to check contacts for short circuits.
Thanks a lot.
