With that industrial case and the riser card, it creates a neat form factor. Like the rainbow SLI cable too.
Very nice build.
It's all fun and games 'till someone loses an eyeball

It is IEI rack-500gb, with its default 5-slot backplane.
I'd love to have 6 slot version but it is hard to find and expensive. I had to remove the AT power connector and soldier cables directly, to open space for the last Voodoo card.
Then replace the PSU with 300W ATX one, and with ATX to AT adapter connect it to backplane.
Now I have a spare flex AT PSU 180W, very handy for testing as it is small.

One of my projects on the back burner is to move most of my white box retro builds into rack mount cases to save space and not have to move cases around the house 😀)
That's a very nice build, congrats, man.
P2 300MHz/Matrox Mystique/Sound Blaster AWE 32 Value
Pentium 3 733MHz/3dfx Voodoo 3 3000/Aureal Vortex 2 (Diamond Monster Sound)
Pentium 4 HT 3.0GHz/GeForce FX 5500/Creative Audigy 2
Core2 Quad Q9400/GeForce 8800GT/Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty
Thanks, it was a bit of good luck finding these parts, the case, and the SBC board with support or Tualatin.
Not sure only for the sound card. It became a late Win 98 build, not for DOS so maybe will replace the card with Audigy ZS 2 Platinium Pro, with an external module. It has a very nice sound.
Or will change the OAMP and caps on AWE64 Gold.
I do not know if will ZS2 work with my Yamaha SU80 midi.

Just get an Aureal Vortex 2 - like Diamond Monster 3D Sound MX300 - you'll get PCI audio, MSDOS support with not great, not terrible OPL emulation, wavetable synth, wavetable header, MPU-401 support, and some of the best hardware 3D audio.

Unfortunately, these are too hard to find and too expensive. I have Aureal Vortex 1, two cards, Auzentech, and Turtle Beach, but sound-wise, ZS2 is a league upfront them.

True. But keep an eye out, you might come across one in the wild. That would round up your build beautifully.

Great cases, the designs are kind of opposites. Nice to see a Highscreen Colani once in a while. Both brands were popular here as well (NL).

Really nice cases!
If it's dual it's kind of cool ... 😎

I've been looking for thin cases like that seems like they don't make narrow ATX cases now adays.
My new baby! AMD SC386SX 25MHz system, 8MB RAM, Audician 32 Plus sound card, and 512MB CF card storage.
I don't want to show pictures from the inside yet... I did the bare minimum in terms of cleaning and there's a lot of corrosion on the case frame that I will need to deal when outside temperature will allow it.

Well, on the outside it sure looks nice and clean! 👍 Prehistorik 2 is a cool game and very fitting. What is the gamepad model?

The gamepad is a Champ PowerPad 100 I believe… Bought a couple of years ago on eBay from the US because I had never seen those in Canada.

Finally my 3dfx Voodoo3 build is going somewhere - with a nice beige BabyAT case.

Beautiful, looks like it just came out of the box. You absolutely need a mint condition beige keyboard to finish it off!

Again, extremely beautiful. Even the gamepad looks fantastic. Pictures like these remind me that looks do matter when it comes to enjoying old computers. I have never really used my oldest build (a 486) because it's so shabby and yellowed from the outside.

And a 5.25 inch floppy disk drive to fill that gaping hole in the case 😀)
The Aureal Vortex audio is unbelievable, tbh, I expected Voodoo3 to be the star of the show, but turned out it was the sound card.

Plenty of nice IBM KB-8923/KB-7953 out there with the beige color scheme. Although I'm not sure how good their key rollover is.

Actually, on a system of this age, I would find a second CD drive more useful than a 5.25" floppy. 😉

Count me jealous. I only have an Aureal Vortex 1 card. And I never used it. 🤣
