Did you get any errors during installation?
Also, when it says "unable to ...", does it give any more meaningful message than just that?
V.

No i didn't get any errors during the installation.

Only when i try to start a game ich get the following error message:

Instantiation - COM Error

Unable to instantiate emulation module SBWavePlayer
Invalid class string (F:\Temp\~VLP6E4B.ini:55)

Quite strange, you may have a 3rd party program on your system messing with the registry, or you have installed from some sort of zip file instead of using the official VDMSound 2.0.4 ".msi" file.

Anyway, pop up a regular DOS box, then type (copy-paste):

cd %VDMSPath%
regsvr32 EmuSBCompat

Now try again, do you still get the same error, or has it changed (i.e. still SBWavePlayer, or is it some other module, some other error)?

Yes you were right
It wasn't the original .msi packet.
Now with the orginal msi packet installed it works perfetcly.
Thank you!

You know, you should wash that before waving it in people's faces. In any case, my READ ME NOW.TXT file clearly states:
1)Install Vlad's VDMSound program:
VDMSound-2.0.4-WinNT-i386.msi

...as the very first step (it did erroneously refer to that being in the ZIP file since I wrote that part before realizing that the board would refuse the upload due to it's size. I since removed that text and inserted Vlad's URL).

I just don't get it. Why do people persist in installing updates to a program that hasn't been installed and expect the program to run? I mean, you don't download a game patch and expect it to include the game...

I also changed the text near the download link to spell it out for people that you still need the original program installed for the update to work. Short of rigging the code to somehow destroy the user's hardware, I don't know how else we're going to prevent people from trying to just use the GUI or update files without the main program. Of course, Vlad could integrate it for us...
