(SOLVED) Windows XP PRO - STOP C0000221 ntdll.dll error

Hi,

Currently I am trying to repair my old german XP pro install which shows an

STOP C0000221
\WINDOWS\System32\ntdll.dll

BSOD right after the loading screen.
I have tried to:
Use all of the options in F8 menu
Swap the ntdll.dll with an polish home sp3 retail (changed the error that the size of ntdll.dll was too big and it was conlicting with DLL. s% s%)
Use CHKDSK /F (no errors found)
Check SMART (all good)
Use two different NF2 boards
But to no avail. It still does the same thing. I have no recovery media nor the install CD.

I'd like to ask if anybody here has any idea or has an german pro ntdll.dll file.

there is a german XP Pro Sp3 iso on archive org, I just grabbed the one labeled Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 3 (German) to check it
and you can search the contents for the ntdll.dll and just try it first before doing a re-install.
You will need to enter a proper key if you re-install over the old iirc......

I have tried looking at the product id of the key I've recovered from this install, but all it means is "xp pro german", nothing else....

As for the ISO could you pull out the ntdll.dll for me, please? I haven't got a lot of time at my disposal...

Sure, here:
without being about to boot into safe-mode or regular mode it can be hard to get the original key back as most key finders (like magic jelly bean, etc) need to run in Windows...

Yep, that seemed to fix the issue. It now boots just fine. Thank you!

But this BSOD still gets me to wonder, what type of a virus could corrupt the ntdll.dll? I am sure there was an payload for wimad virus and I think that's all....

Not sure what virus would infect it but I would run Crystal Disk Info to make sure you are not nearing a HD failure on the boot drive.
Also get the xp key used if you can.. just in case....

Tbh drive smart is in perfect condition, even after a llf.
What's also weird is that after I changed the wallpaper the entire theme went full black.... Since it was unusuable (every pop up, error and file list was pitch black) I gave up on thw virus search.
