Sorry, but I had to change apartments on a rather short notice and I had to pack all my retro stuff away in a storage locker. At the moment I do not have the possibility to test it out, but I'll let you know when my situation changes.

You can add ATI 3D Rage

Well i think this might be potential
Team Apache ATI 3D Rage Version
https://groups.google.com/g/comp.sys.ibm.pc.g … m/c/2OrNICOqeZc

after examining files of Team Apache i found that it mentions about rage in exe's and ati3dcif.dll

and it has "ATI_NATIVE" variable

Cant find way to get ATI 3D Rage in renderer selection menu.

Maybe there a way to force it.

I think it planned to support , but dropped at some point, unknown reasons to me, not googled it more detailed ...

I own the bundled ATI version of Team Apache (https://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/team-a … CoverId,139805/). I cannot remember that it had ATICIF support, but instead was running on Direct3D. Where did you find mentions of ati3dcif.dll?

Even ATI's own website says its D3D: http://web.archive.org/web/19980519124545/htt … ey/tapache.html
EDIT: They list Deathtrap Dungeon and Formula 1 with D3D as well, so might not entirely correct.

Well, the Team Apache Retail release, after installing, go to directory with the game, in files you can find :
"ATI_NATIVE" - mdrivers.dat, mprofile.dat, mprofile.exe
"ATI3DCIF.DLL" - mprofile.exe

Can you check you ati version ?
Checked demo it has nothing

One user at google groups mentioned that

Have you ever seen a match between Robocops against Terminators? No? Well, now you can play with one of the teams!! The game is better than AS1, but as I said before, the football players seem robots behind the ball. - David

Possible it can be really CGL?

Tried it on ATI 3D Rage Pro card seems it not wants to use ATI API, don't know how to force it.

Motor Mash
I think there is just trash files leaved by programmers, and there is lot of video card potentially can be supported, but seems none of them really, need to checks:
game loads mcga.bdd file if i replace it with one that supposed to support API i trick to thing it right driver, right now i have results:
3dfx Glide, (cannot start driver)
Ddraw (probably Direct3D),
Mystique MSI,
ATI3DCIF, (KERNEL32 can't be loaded, DOS can't use win32 dll hehe)
S3 Virge
Will check others later, but really doubt any can work, all of them for windows, game is dos, if one can find 3dfx dos right driver?

I can run game with ATI 3D Rage API but all graphic was screwed
http://www.vogonsdrivers.com/wrappers/files/B … IF/RAGE_DOS.BDD
with file above , renamed as mcga.bdd

Interestingly there's an expensive Japanese Diamond Edge 3D 2200XL NV1 on eBay at the moment, and the photo of the CDs shows one with Daytona USA written on it in Japanese, so it may have been released with more NV1 cards in Japan.

I've uploaded a comparison of arcade and PC versions of Daytona USA, which includes the Nvidia NV1 version (first time this has been seen online, I think?):

Congratulations, you made what vetz promised but never realized.
I am also sad he never preserves
Tasmania 3D bundled games, seriously what a saddnes, sorry.
But all the retro enthusiasts preserves games and software, they are way too old, what the point and value to make it go and wanish from this world? Preserve it.

Vetz actually sent me the copy, he said he'll make a full scan of the boxed copy and image to archive.org at some point in the future, in due time 🙂

I really hope so, anyway hope
Tasmania 3d games would be preserved.
Since this can become lost media, and in future no enthusiasts can emulate it like on MAME or PCEM or 86BOX, will be lost forever, and this is realy very very sad.
Hope vetz can see it on that perspective view.
Please for the name of the God.
