CrystalMark Retro is a comprehensive benchmarking software that supports 32bit (x86), 64bit (x64/ARM64), many-core, and multilingual (48+ languages).
CPU, disk, 2D graphics (GDI), and 3D graphics (OpenGL) performance can be measured with a single click.
*Much of the benchmark code is a brushed-up version based on CrystalMark 2004.

Aoi Edition will give you a voice judgement of your results at the end of the benchmark! Be careful with the volume…

OpenGL benchmarks were produced by koinec following CrystalMark 2004.

Looks like 2.0 been released. Can’t wait to fire up the 386sx with the mfm hard drive for some earth shatteringly slow benchmarks.

Crystal Dew World has released a major update to its retro Windows benchmarking tool. The updated CrystalMark Retro 2.0.0 was made available today, as freeware, and the major change here is that its scope has been extended to cover Windows 95/98/Me systems. Previously, it wasn’t quite so retro, as compatibility only reached as far back as Windows XP. As a bonus, the official benchmark score comparison site crystalmarkdb.com/retro is also now public and fully operational.

Wow what a nice tool for our Retro PCs from Win95 ongoing.
Can't wait to test this on my Win98 machine.

Me too.

As much as I love Speedsys, the disk bench portion of it is limited by DOS int 13h calls. Working with DOS storage drivers is a hassle, if you can even find DOS storage drivers that support modes faster than PIO.

Speedsys runs in a DOS session under Windows 98, I always felt like the Windows protected mode disk cache might be skewing the results.

And just like that, 2.0.1 is available---

I really like the QR code generation feature that let's you submit scores from your phone if your reto PC doesn't have internet access.

Unfortunately it looks like the whole number scoring system they use is going to lack resolution to really distinguish much for systems slower than 133 Mhz.

For Example, a 386 and a 486 CPU get the same CPU score of 1 because that's as low at it goes.

CPU Score: AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5995WX Single score adjusted to 10,000

so they have no more than 0.01% processing power of AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5995WX Single core.

Thanks for pointing that out. Would be nice if the test kept at least 3 significant digits.

Disk: 10 times of MB/s
*The drive on which Windows is installed (usually C drive) is targeted. The test file is 1 GiB(for 9x/NT: 32MiB).

This is also challenging for PC's with ISA hard drives. Your score is either going to be a 1 or a 2.

Cool!

Tested this benchmark software on the computer mentioned in my signature and submitted the results. 😁
