Hello! I have motherboard on VT82C694X + VT82C686B, I want to use voodoo3 PCI like a second card in Windows 98SE for use only for glide games, but I have a problem, I think that drivers for Nvidia conflict with second card. When I use AGP priority in bios and load to windows 98 when I start 3dmark 2003se I can't select vodoo3 in configuration they absent. If I select priority for PCI in bios, I can select in 3dmark 2003se voodoo3 or FX5900XT. Does anyone know which drivers are better to use for nvidia so that there are no conflicts?

And second question, I know that in 440BX motherboard in DOS voodoo3 PCI like a second card work well for glide, when I start glquake1 or glquake2 video swithing correct to second card, but in VIA Apollo Pro 133A no. Has anyone tried to launch on via?

p.s. I want to use voodoo3 for voodoo2's place because it takes up less space and the ventilation is better, because my motherboard micro-atx.

I have a similar setup on an i815e based board.

Jack of several trades, master of some (hopefully)

And I did briefly experiment with a P3B-F, AGO 5900XT and Voodoo3 2000 and I do no recall issues with switching from AGP to PCI (and vice versa) primary graphics card.

i do not recall if I ever tried using the non Primary card for 3D while booted into Windows 98 SE, I just reboot and switch in BIOS to set whatever card I want to use as primary before starting the machine (this works in DOS and Windows 98 SE).

I may have posted more on the subject in previous years.

Hi and thanks for the reply! At p3B-F in dos I have not problem, I think pci works differently on via then on 440BX and my friend tell me that i must use pci card like a first. My friends told me that nvidia is in conflict because of the drivers in Windows, there are no such problems with ATI, but I don't have it to check.

I do have a VIA based Socket 370 board somewhere, but it either has no ISA slots or only has one, so I never tried it on that, AFAICR. Best of luck.

At this motherboard Soltek SL-65KIV2, I also have only one ISA port for sound card, for this port I want to use custom soundcard based on ESS1686 for SBpro + not bad emulation of OPL and two daughterboard, first mt32-pi on hardmpu and second on SAM chip for GM, I think it would be best for this pc.
