I tried to flash the motherboard with Uniflash but it failed. I then tried to flash the chip in an external programmer and that failed too. So the chip is borked (even though the machine was booting perfectly fine). I’ve ordered a replacement W29C020-90 (https://www.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/pd … W29C020-90.html) but that’s over a month away until it arrives.

I found a W29C020-12. Would a slower chip work? Or is there an alternative to the W29C020-90 I could order?
