Hello,
first message here after reading for a while several threads on games and ol'hardware. I am french so please be nice with some of the faults I may do as I write.
I have several computers of different era for gaming on period correct computers. Everything is fine up to Win 98Se but for win 95 I got a problem : here is the config (not really optimal though).
P4 1Ghz
I815
Matrox Millenium G450
SoundBlaster Live!
40 Go IDE hd
IDE cd drive (noisy and would not open sometimes (belt needs to be replaced).
floppy drive
32Go Compact flash attached to IDE.
Windows 95 2.5 installed on the 40 HD.
Here is my problem : I would like to use the compact card to copy the drivers I managed to find from my Win11 computer to this one. But it keeps failing. I formatted the card to Fat32 and I cannot recognize the files copied from the modern pc. I tried to reformat with Ex-Fat it is the same problem. If I format the card with Windows 95 it will be the same problem.
At this point I have no clues about what to do next. I have burned quite a lot of cd with several drivers and they can be read correclty. but it is not the cheapest solution.
thanks a lot for your help. I did not found any introducing thread so if I miss something on the forum please forgive me.
kinds regards, Antoine.
