Hi,
Recently got my dialup server up and running and I was going through my PC collection testing modems when I stumbled upon an driver issue on my LION sarasota 8050i (looks to be an rebadged TINY 8050i). Originally I put SM56 drivers on there, which resulted in blank error popups from the SM56 helper when trying to do anything related with the modem (going into modem properties, trying to use hyperterminal) or
Incompatible modem codec detected, please check your modem card
errors.
Then I installed AGERE AC' 97 modem drivers and that "seemed" to fix the issue, although now I still get auto disconnected right after I press dial and I get
Cannot open COM5. Check port settings
error when I try to open COM port where the modem is. An HSP 56k modem driver results in an code 10 in devmgmt.
Now I am quite stuck here, the PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_24C6&SUBSYS_80511071&REV_03 doesn't give a lot of results. Some say on the TINY 8050i the SM56 drivers worked but on mine they don't.
Any ideas?
