I know we have the vogons driver database but it’s missing many versions.

What if we made a thread or a repository or one of the members made something, or we just come together and complete the Vogons driver database.

I’m sure that across all of our files and computers that basically every version ever released exists. Can we finally get that all in one place sorted by operating system and version number. A posting of the INF contents in comments would be nice to see what’s supported at a glance without having to download.

Great idea, I’ve struggled many times to find particular releases that I’ve wanted to try. Perhaps they were release drivers alongside a card, or reviewers used a particular release.

Either way, a fully curated repo would be superb.

Indeed, at least half of my retro woes have been related to trying to figure out which driver is going to work the best on the system and often failingand it’s usually the first driver that came out with the card that I am looking forbut tracking that down is often very very hard.

An ATI Catalyst archive is here:
https://disk.yandex.com/d/vfgML2Vm3TR4mw

I've mirrored that locally and it's 42.7GB in total, so quite a load of files to host.

I can see there’s some stuff there but even it is quite confusing for instance say I’m looking for a driver for my radeon 9250 for Windows 98
I should be able to select windows 9X and see in order every catalyst version in order by release date ever released for 9x including betas

I should then be able to click on each version and see what cards are listed in the INF

And we could probably do the same with the omegas probably in the same list
