Hello, I'm just asking you a question because I'm not sure which graphics cards from late 90s games are compatible.
GeForce 256 is equivalent to the Riva TNT2 Ultra in performance, and from GeForce MX, it will be replaced by QuadPipe rather than the existing twin texels, and GeForce was the best-selling model of the time because it outperformed TNT2.
However, if you play Midtown Madness on GeForce MX (based on Pentium 3), you'll get an afterimage like the link below. Windows XP has that patch, which makes it the easiest to hold, but Windows 98 has no answer except to switch to GeForce's predecessor, Riva TNt2, or Voodoo.

This phenomenon has definitely been resolved by changing the graphics card to Riva TNT2. However, while the compatibility is good, the disadvantage of TNT2 is that it is a twin texel, so in the case of Alien versus Predator mentioned earlier, the letters are broken.
FYI, my Nvidia driver is Version 21.81. It came out around September 2001. As far as I know, it was already the heyday of GeForce MX.
What about the other person? Which one do you recommend the most, Riva TNT2 or GeForce 256 to make the 1998-99 game smooth?
