Hi mkarcher! That’s an plausible explanation, thanks.
According to the little information I found, it seems the computer has a TrakStar ISA card installed or something related.

Edit: I've checked the PDFs on that site..
The TrakStar Plus supports IBM 8503001 mono monitor and 8513001 colour monitor, according to this flyer:
https://www.diskman.com/presents/trackstar/do … lease_flyer.pdf
They seem to be PS/2 monitors.
Edit: Trackstar 128 supports both 640x200 (CGA) and 720x350 monitors (MDA TTL), according to the PDF:

Same time, though, the IBM PS/2 Model 30 is shown and named.
("Run Apple software on IBM PC, XT, Personal System Model 30 or compatible")
That being said, I don’t know which TrakStar card is installed, if at all. 🤷♂️
There are also IBM PC/Apple II combo PCs without TrakStar technology,- I think -, with an hybrid mainboard instead.
For example, the Gigatronics KAT from Greek.
