I broke the inductor trying to fix the broken trace. Just looking for suggestions on what to replace it with. One thread suggests 1-4 uh.

And by chance anyone ever seen this board I think it a zenith. It’s a 12 mhz and the sims let it max out at 16 mb.

The exact value is of little consequence. Throw in anything you have of similar physical size for soldering convenience.
If anything it's about EMI that the keyboard cable can emit, and it's not about the keyboard functionality.

Just put something in there that's below 10uH and it should work. A wire jumper will do but I guess these original chokes died becuase of a short on the keyboard connector. So in essence these also work as fuses of sorts, preventing damage to chips and copper traces on the mobo. With wires this will not be the case but if you plug only known good keyboards it should not be an issue.

Alternatively a 1 ohm SMD resistor, preferably of the fusible kind, might work as well. Most keyboards will pull only up to 500mA (usually less) so the voltage drop is not that bad. The resistor will blow first in a short. But it might prevent you from drawing more current from the connector, for example for mods like PS2 optical mouse external power.
