On my compaq armada sb, OPL3LPT which I get today don’t work, it makes just noises at low level. I tried the provided drivers : adlipt, and opl3testsound, and adlibtracker 2 for opl3lpt but it’s the same result…

It’s a compaq armada sb 2920D.

I tested also OPL3LPT on a toshiba tecra 530cdt and it’s not detected. But on a toshiba s320cds it works good except one weird thing but it’s related to adlibtracker for lpt : when I import my projects which was made in normal (last version) of adlibtracker2, I can’t play them. It’s .A2M files. In modules re is other demo .A2M files from different project and it works good with them, but not with my imported projects. Does the at2lpt projects are incompatible with normal and more recent versions ?´

I am trying some thongs in bios : changing parallele port group number, which didn’t work… but in the bios I see armada 5233DT (i go to bios from a floppy image, I get the link fornthis floppy from an other thread)

I resolved the principal problem, it was due to the power usb of the compaq armada which seems to be wrong even if it works fine for usb stick file exchange in win98 so I used an other usb, external to the laptop for power it. But there is an other problem : the playing in adlibtracker2 is not very good, often some notes are not played (or at a low level or differently) and then they are played… 😰😭

EDIT : apparently this problem is only on the compaq armada. On my toshiba satellite s320cds it works good
