Hi all, as per the title, the cap (or at least I assume it's a cap) in location `CD143` appears to have gone dead short on my board and burned itself out.

Can anyone tell me what the value is? Thanks in advance!

Apologies, I forgot to mention it's in the upper left corner behind the I/O panel next to the ATX power connector.

First check there are no other shorts on the board. Check also for shorted mosfets/caps, also check the various rails on the ATX Power connector. Most likely you won't find someone who is willing to desolder the one from their board. Your best bet would be finding another one of the same size on your board and measure it out of circuit or play the guessing game. Most likely it will be one of these values: 100nF, 1uF, 10uF.

I just probed around the board for shorts, didn't find anything that seemed hugely concerning.

Further research of all the other similarly labelled "CDxxx" indicates that they're all the same value: `106 16Y` polarised caps, 10 uF 16V tantalum is what they all appear to be. Found a reddit post from 2 year ago that indicates the same.
