Does anybody have a STB Lightspeed 128 card with a 1.2 or later BIOS? If so, can I get a dump of it?

Here's a copy in case anyone cares. Interesting note, however, the BIOS still says "1.1-9" during boot despite having a "1.2" sticker. I have two other cards with a "1.1-9" BIOS sticker. The ROM dump from one of them is identical to the "1.2" BIOS, and the other is off by a singular bit (I know it's not corruption, because the checksum bit is also altered to match).

I wonder if this was mislabeled, or there never really was a true "1.2" BIOS.

Any particular reason you were looking for a 1.2 BIOS for that card?

No, other than it being the latest version that I know of.

I know the difference between the 1.1 and the 1.2 STB cards since I own both of them. I had the same question a while ago and found this https://www.xfree86.org/3.3.6/tseng12.html which explains the difference between the MoSys memory chips that are used.

Conclusion is:
- There is no difference in the BIOS binary between v1.1 and v1.2, it only states the memory revision that is used ->
- v1.1 uses 2MB of total MDRAM (using the MD908 chips), v1.2 uses 2.25MB of total MDRAM (using the MD909 chips)

Hope it clarifies this bit, apart from that, enjoy this nice card 😀
