I connected my Olivetti M19 with the internet using a serial slip modem as described https://vintage2000.org/dos/serial_wifi_adapter.

Now the question is what is interesting to connect to online? One obvious thought was to play chess online, but I haven't been able to find a graphics interface that runs on msdos 3.3 and connects to an online chess platform like FICS or Chess.com.

Other things that could be of interest would be news, as text only would be perfectly fine for that, or fora to discuss stuff that I am now posting here. I have Telnet, IrcJr and MicroWeb but I could use some suggestions on what's worthwhile.

(or whatever is the correct plural of an acronym that ends in S like BBS!)

BBS' might be correct, when you double the s at the end I think you put an apostrophe and leave the final s off. Not sure though.

Wrong rule. That's for possessives.

'The BBS' archive of vintage shareware..' etc.

For plurals, is the same as for 'bus', or other singular ending in S.

Hi, GemWeb browser might run on it, it uses GEM and SLIP connections, I think.

GEM has CGA driver, but Plantronics driver might also be available.
Arachne and Minuet may also run. Minut has an e-mail, ftp, gopher, ping tool built-in.

I wonder if anyone still runs FTP servers with mirrors of simtel, etc.? If so, you could FTP there, look around, download some 00_INDEX.TXT files, see if any of the files sound interesting, then download those files and play around with them.
