I had an old gray Acer Aspire VY520L computer, bought in 1998.
At one time i upgraded it very well - 17" original monitor, motherboard from Acer Power, on DIMM with 256 memory.
SW60, SB 16. Recently i wanted to reset it to factory settings, but none of the Acer ACE versions didn't want to work with it,
saying when starting it from a floppy disk that it was only for Acer Multimedia PC. I then decided that yes, the motherboard is V59LA
is different and forgot about it.
But now i get original green Acer Aspire model 5133LR in fulll original complectation excluded HHD. The original hard drive was medalist 1.2, i installed wd 1.08.
But to my surprise, when i try to do a factory restore, i get the same error. I tried all the versions found on https://archive.org/, which have a boot floppy disk.

The computer has the original motherboard and the original sound card. The only thing these two computers have in common is a large amount of memory, here it 32 megabytes.
Question number one ))- why and how to fix it?
And question number two ))- traditionally for these models, this computer has a CD that almost doesn't work. It has its own proprietary front tray cover and a specific place where the button is pressed. The read indicator is not so important. Maybe someone knows which of the new DVD-RD drives will fit there without having to use glue or a scalpel. I can probably find an old Acer CD, but there's little chance that it will be better than the already have.
Thanks in advance for your help.
P.S. If someone shares with me the image of the original hard drive with the English version, or even better, the Russian version, because the Russian one had a very funny game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbT6tG1aiDc&a … hannel=Dugongue , i will be just happy )))
