Retro PC THAILAND’s First-Ever Meetup Wraps Up with Great Success!
The first official Retro PC THAILAND Facebook Group Meetup in Thailand was held on June 8, 2025, at Chonlatee Coffee and ended on a high note, filled with excitement, camaraderie, and vintage computing passion.
This memorable event was made possible by the collaboration of:
-Mr. Yutthana Luckchonlatee (Tor) – Owner of Chonlatee Coffee
-Mr. Thanakorn Thomsap (Nam) – Group founder and admin
-Mr. Nakorn Wuttikanakorn (Bee) – Host and event coordinator
The meetup featured a dazzling display of rare vintage computers brought in by devoted members of all ages. Some of the highlights included:
Commodore PET, Commodore 64, Amiga 500, Apple II, Sinclair, Radio Shack TRS-80, Texas Instruments TI-99/4A, Macintosh, Epson, Atari 600XL, Amstrad, Sega 3000, Sord M5, Panasonic Executive Partner, Wang Computer, ICS Micromath, and many more.
The event offered a fun and welcoming atmosphere with plenty of prizes, souvenirs, and even a spirited auction where vintage tech was practically given away! One of the most delightful moments was the emergence of the youngest bidder — the son of “Teacher Banglui,” who came all the way from Suphan Buri.
The gathering attracted families and enthusiasts from all over, including:
-The family of Phufahsai, a 15-year-old young retro fan
-Mr. Pavin Kullama, a beloved community figure
-Mr. Somyot Satsadee, who traveled with his wife and daughter from Chaiyaphum for this special event
-Mr. Prakarn Sirima, author of computer-related books
-Mr.Teerak Boonprecha “P'Larm – Gikko IT,” a renowned Thai tech personality from the TechOffside
-Jinny from JinnyRetroGame, a popular retro game content creator
The event was a resounding success — a true celebration of the charm and legacy of vintage computing. It brought together like-minded people and reaffirmed the group’s mission to preserve and share the history of classic computers for future generations.
If you missed this one — don’t worry! The next Retro PC THAILAND meetup promises to be even bigger and better. Stay tuned!
