Hey everyone. I was looking on eBay yesterday and found a Micron Pentium Pro similar to the one I owned in 2007. I had the dual Pro 200 version with 1mb on the processors. I am tempted to buy this, but I had rather get one like I had before. I had both VRM'S and installed 512mb of ram in it. Mine had a Micronics motherboard. I thought I would share since they are so rare and so unique to find.

$400 is WAY too much for such a system, if you're talking about this https://www.ebay.com/itm/396792165419?

Hey luckybob, I agree with you. I have been keeping track of them and the last one I saw on eBay (a Micron System) was early last year and was going for around $1200 and was not complete. They are super rare now. I may be wrong, but I think if you are going to ask a high price for these machines, at least the ram should be maxed out and it should include all the VRM's. Also, I feel that it should be shown to be fully functional.

Most of the OEM PPro boards are so proprietary (form factor, power supply) that buying them is kind of pointless.

I gave up looking for retail PPro motherboards ages ago because cost for CPU and boards is too much (and I have a couple anyway).

I blame myself. I extoled the chip for years, and then the pandemic hit and people took what I said seriously and started jacking the prices up.

I'm so very sorry everyone.
