Silly question but I cant figure our how to get into the BIOS on this motherboard:

I tried the usual DEL, and various Function keys but no luck.
Here is what the post screen shows and then it goes to boot.
Most XT boards don't have bios setup environments. They rely on static bios info and settings are set by jumpers.
Also, other devices may be set by bios extensions on separate eproms. Like hard disk controllers and sometimes floppy disk controllers.

Next I need to figure out how to change the fdd controller settings to 1.44mb as its set to 720kb

Most XT's do not directly support 1.44 MB floppy drives. max only 720K. another bios or floppy bios or software can be used to alleviate this .
edit : also, XT bios floppy setup has only two jumpers which set the amount of floppy drives in the system.

edit: also, the controller needs to support the 1.44M drives, which i'm fairly certain the controller in your photo does not do.
