I've tried Win98 Quick Install for the first time on the little Fujitsu Siemens i845GV based Pentium 4 machine I picked up quickly.

However, whenever I try and install NUSB for flash drives, I get an instant crash in Explorer.exe on booting - even in safe mode!

I've tried both versions from the Win98 Quick Install disk (3.5 and 3.6) and also 3.3, which has worked for me in the past on other systems. I tried installing Nusb before the Intel chipset drivers, as well as afterwards. I tried removing every USB device from device manager (which I haven't bothered with before) as well as not. Same every time! Without even safe mode, I've had to format and reinstall each time.

Could some of the patches etc installed by Win98 QuickInstall be conflicting with Nusb? Or could there be an incompatibility with the i845 chipset?
