Hello, I have the DFI P2XBL REV.B1 with quite an old "BB" BIOS version (10/06/1998-i440BX-DD-2A69KD42C-00).
The board does not detect any PS/2 keyboard or mouse in BIOS nor in Windows 98SE. It also only recognizes my 120 GB HDD if I limit its capacity to 32 GB by its jumper.
It does detect a USB keyboard in both BIOS and Windows 98SE, though.
I was hoping that upgrading the BIOS to the "BJ" version might fix those issues:
I tried flashing the BIOS via CDROM booting using a bootable FreeDos 1.4 Legacy image injected with the "BJ" BIOS version (07/20/2000-i440BX-FD-2A69KD42C-00):
https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/dfi-p2xbl-rev.-b#bios
and Awdflash 7.52C:
https://www.wimsbios.com/awardflasher.jsp#gsc.tab=0.
However, using the "A:\>awdflash biosfile.bin" command gave me the following error message in the Flash Memory Writer v7.52C: "It is not Award BIOS!".
Using the "A:\>awdflash biosfile.bin /py / sn /cc" command gave me the "INVALID OPCODE AT 0010 0000 0286..." error and the Flash Memore Writer froze while starting the BIOS update process.
The original BIOS still works after restarting the machine.
Is there a more suitable BIOS update tool I could use?

PS: I am aware that the page I downloaded the BIOS from states DFI P2XBL REV.B+, however, the picture there actually shows REV.B1. I was also unable to find any BIOS specifically for REV.B1.

I'm not optimistic that the new BIOS will solve the PS/2 issue; that will more likely be a fuse.

Uniflash should be worth a shot, it might be faster than trying various forms of Awardflash to try and find the correct version.

Here is a link to various versions of Awardflash in case Uniflash doesn't work.

After watching many YouTube videos about older computer hardware, YouTube began recommending videos about trains - are they trying to tell me something?

This version of the BJ BIOS package ships with the F741 flash app...maybe try a re-flash with this app as per this post - https://www.wimsbios.com/forum/post55846.html#p55846
