I honestly have no spave to keep all these computer, i live in pretty small appartment, but i enjoy my first retro configuration a lot.

Well, here is my solution:

The attachment 20250704_202752_cutD2.jpg is no longer available

Stacking works great and saves a lot of space, just have to be sure the cases are compatible with this and somewhat sturdy. And yeah, some stuff is horribly yellow. One dvd drive is the most impressive case.

But yeah, not overdoing it is important too.

Oh, that solved the problem. 😀 I honestly have no place to do that and that it not look terrible in the room. I live in pretty small apartment, but i`ll see to do some reorganization. 😀

By the way it would be quite interesting to see how a system like this runs 3dmark on xp. 2001se, perhaps 2003.

While S370 is old i bet 1.5Ghz P3 actually is quite capable and will not perform bad at all. I remember issues with P4 performing worse than high end P3 on release...

Well, for Willamettes, the Pentium 3 ran circles around it, clock for clock, but the P4 just kept getting faster clocks, making it faster in total. Especially when Northwood came out ...

If it's dual it's kind of cool ... 😎

Currently testing the system with two GPU`s to see how it work, it is more stable/compatible with games i usually play on Windows 98SE , but with lower resolutions, nevertheless i`m pretty pleased with the look of games on big screen.

On AGP slot Nvidia 6600 GT
On PCI slot Nvidia FX 5200 PCI (128 bit/256mb)
Both connected via DVI.

So far i find the card is pretty weak, but all older titles i tested works like a charm. I`ll do further testings.

Yeh the FX was underpowered even when it was released as a WinXP/DX9 era card.
It's only now with people building Win9x computers that the card really becomes competitive. It's just that wasn't the target audience when it was released.

So far i really like the compability side of the card. I cant find the game that i tried that dont work perfectly, i have to use lower resolutions but for some reason they look much more pleasant for eyes compare to more modern cards, why is that i have no clue, but i have no problems playing in 800x600 for old titles, it just works.
Much more darker compare to 6600 GT which i consider to be not so bright card. For example ATi in general always had crispier clear picture, 9700 Pro HIS that i tried is at least 30% brighter and you see every possible edge of desing in video games perfectly, but that can be sometimes sword with two edges, for newer games its pure pleasure but older games it can be somehow hard for eyes.

Little update, got Be Quiet PSU and in meantime found cheap new old stock Zalman passive cooler and put it on FX 5200 PCI. Its so overkill that heatsink is barely lukewarm which improved overal stabillity of card greatly, no more sudden reset of system on longer hour playing , original cooler simply did not cut it. Done recently benhcmark tests, couldnt be happier, it outperformed all tests i ever done. So far support for old DOS and middle 90s games is perfect.
I use 6600 GT AGP for XP only, and FX5200 PCI for 98 SE and older games.

I`ve tried many things for this system but this is the best so far, had 2600HD agp, 9800 Pro, 9600 XT/Pro etc. They all in their own thing were giving me or motherboard compabillity or other issues. I had enough of it and selling all i found incompatible with this Pentium 3 configuration.
