Hi all, I just bought a Voodoo 5 that is described as working but missing the blue VGA channel. Looks like a component at "FL5" is damaged. I am having a hard time finding out what these components are exactly. Ferrite bead or inductor perhaps?

Probably a ferrite bead inductor or ferrite line filter SMD.

They would ensure a cleaner video signal by blocking high-frequency noise while allowing the desired video signal to pass through.

Do you have an LCR meter? Then you can measure FL1 or FL3 to get an inductance value.

These are LCL filters although what exact value they are I don't know. If the card was mine I would bypass all of them since they are going to reduce VGA image quality and especially at the higher resolutions (i.e 1600x1200) or higher refresh rates on lower ones (i.e 800 x 600 @ 120Hz). To bypass, and get image out the card agan, bridge the two outer pads, leaving the middle alone.

Will try this, thanks for the advice!

Can confirm this worked!
