Nice work! An adapter like this is worth the work.
Well.
Controllers that are +10 years old, are getting expensive to source these days. There are actually many reasons why I would build one. Old controllers getting unreliable is one such fine example. Now I can just grab any modern and use on my old first gen Xbox.
EDIT:
There are also the price point. If I have to buy a Brook Wingman XB adaptor today, a used Brook Wingman XB would cost me some 312 USD plus shipping, plus import fee, plus extra sales tax of 25% on top. Because it is located in the UK, that are outside the EU. As compared to my homemade adaptor, that I paid a total of some 23 to 24 USD in total. Sure I can buy an XB3 at some +60 USD plus shipping from France, but they are only compatible with Xbox One and up. And if I connect a wireless dongle to my homemade one, I can then use wireless controllers, that are compatible with that dongle.
I can also kick this dongle into Ps3 or other compatibility mode's. But the software are a bit lacking in playstation mode. Something with the Ps3 bluetooth protocol, sending continuesly data. Should be adressen on the next software release.
