i what it says on the top articule of the DX-25 its true, there were not many sold and kinda overlaps with the 486

the post card analyser was defect, i tried it on others isa computer. i just bought a new one on amazon with 6 red led instead of 3 led. The 3 led post card looks cheap. we have made new soldering and repaired some lines but it still dont boot. all voltage are good everwhere on the motherboard, even the isa port

There were 386 computers that started showing up in the second half of 1986, but they were mostly servers and prototypes, non standard motherboards in bulky heavy cases, the kind of thing that goes to e-waste quickly as soon as its performance window is gone.

386 workstations started showing up in the second half of 1987, but they were still > $5000 and the 386 multiply bug was still prevalent.

Wasn't until 1988 that prices had fallen enough for mortals to afford them and by then the good Σ Σ chips were pretty common.

Although I remember trying to put a beta copy of Windows 95 on a PS/2 model 70 that was manufactured ~July 1988 and getting the "you gotta buy a new CPU" message.

I was working on a 286 board recently that would fail at 2 or 3 or not post at all. It was vias corroded by the battery.

we tested them again, they are good. We reseated all chips in correct position. i have no more idea. we checked every connection everywhere
