I believe each of those UM61 3264F-6 chips are 256KB. Can't actually find a datasheet to verify that right now, but yes, I think it has 512KB.

Those unpopulated rows of through holes near the socket were probably for an optional COAST module that would let you expand the cache if you didn’t already have the max cache size

If the slot is not populated near the cpu it means the cache is already maximized.

With a brief search, I see no support for 75/83 MHz bus speeds on the Shuttle board, and no mention of K6-2+ support; unless that changed with a later revision of the board, I'm going to say the Asus board is the better one.

I had one and was very good board. 3264 number on the cache chips is two 64K x 32bit is 512K And yes, you do have dual tag configured.

With a k6-2+ and 83 MHz FSB that board can run at 500 MHz - that, combined with up to 256K full speed L2 memory cache pushes this board well beyond the performance it was designed for. The only HX board I have right now is limited to 66 MHz FSB, but here's the performance with a K6-3+.

These days of collectors paying big money for stuff, anything with "Asus" commands a premium, but old stuff actually getting worth money only started less than 10 years ago. That gives you the better part of two decades when people wouldn't even take stuff off you for the cost of shipping. Tell me about it, I had a big collection I needed to offload in 2008 when moving from a house with cellar and shed to a small apartment in the big(ish) city. Some of that stuff could help fund a new house these days. Back then I was really happy when I got a bottle of whisky for a full SGI 19" rack...

Honestly, he keeps posting comments like this after making his giveaway post claiming to have what would be probably $10,000 worth of vintage unobtainium that he found in a wall. No pictures were provided and PMs were either blocked or ignored.

Sorry for derailing, it's just getting weird having this repeated trolling going on. Maybe the idea is to make it sound like stuff is worthless to counteract the high demand and prices?
