New to the forum and been finding it helpfull getting back into old pc hardware.

I recently aquired a Compaq Presario CDS 742 with motherboard 210063-001 and like many machines the cmos battery was dead and soldered to the board.

I recently replace this with a holder from Rs Components in the uk with stock no: 2378342 which fitted, I read some people getting holders that the pins were to big to fit into the holes this one the pins are 0.70mm which fits fine. Also the plus and negative on the pcb are 18mm apart so you need to slightly bend one of the pins on the holder to fit.

Just thought if post in case its of any use to anyone in the future.
