Hello.

I have a CPU that I believe is a PowerPC 750FX, but I couldn't find the same one online.
It seems to be converted from BGA to ZIF. There are 288 pins.
The text on the board is as follows.

114z89 0286
PCB: PCM750 Rev B
ASY: PCM750-FX

Additionally, there is a DIP switch on the board.

Does anyone know anything about this CPU?

have you looked here, there seem to be similar boards being discussed (see bottom of first page of thread)

https://68kmla.org/bb/index.php?threads/ppc75 … ppc750gl.39043/

Indeed, the “damaged 800MHz board” on that page resembles mine.
I believe it's a product from the same manufacturer, but it's a shame the manufacturer's name isn't mentioned.

Looking at https://pearpc.sourceforge.net/pvr.html there are at least 5 different 750FX versions, what is the PVR of the one you have?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PowerPC_7xx has a section for the 750fx

How do I read the PVR?
I can't use any software because I don't have a working PowerMac...
If only there were a way to physically check the PVR.

I got it.
Once my dusty G3 DT is fixed, I'll give it a try.
Thank you.
