Hi ! we want to try to do a gameport output from the port replicator connector in the t2150cdt and make a gameport pcmcia card, but it should be more trouble. If we succeed to make a gameport pcmcia card, we will offer it too. But dont have hope too high for now. i have 10 vintage laptop with pcmcia slot. no one has a gameport. But i have a dynapoint gamepad that mimic a keyboard its still cool but i want to try to make a gameport pcmcia card.

I need help about some questions below. Read this topic too before if possible or read the text in the picture, but its better to read the topic:

Question about Accessing Gameport on Port Replicator in DOS

Here below are some questions, but some are from the other topic, copied and paste:

About the A1 to A9 or 1 to 9 (data) in the diagram, are they present on the port replicator of the t2150cdt the 120 pins connector ? if yes, but where ? i posted a picture. and about the ressetdrv, where is it ? AEN dont seem to exist in pcmcia ?

I dont think the only out for the gameport on the 120pin replicator port are only
joyR and JoyW ? right ? Thanks for help to help me to find the others.

( i made some research for make a pcmcia gameport card, but some things are missing i think. i look at pcmcia vs isa , check the picture too. thanks )

If Thernalwrong and you guys give me enough information my father and me could try to make a pcmcia gamecard, even if its bigger and go outside of the pcmcia slot, but it would be better than nothing. if we succeed to made one, we could make more for you guys, but please dont get your hope too high. yes i studied in computer for 2 years and my father is a great electronic technician, but this kind of stuff, create and make card is new to us.

If i buy this card below in ebay link, could it help us to at least get the docking port working with the help of the card below ? ( ebay link below ) at least for a first test. or can this gameport isa card be useful to get a pcmcia gameport card working and testing? even if its big for now, at least to get something working with tries and errors ?

About the port replicator for the t2150cdt the number is Toshiba PA2708U. If you find one to sell anywhere, let me know, thanks a lot. i find no one available worldwide, none on ebay.

Thanks for help

these 2 pictures help us to understand better about the t2150cdt gameport output

Ok we found answer to most of our questions about doing the gameport for the Toshiba T2150cdt, thanks to everyone from the other topic, we took sometime to understand everything.

We will begin with this ( gameport output for T2150cdt) after finished this in some days, we will gathering information for pcmcia gameport possibility

Edit: still searching reset driver on the 120 pin replicator port.

But we can output it from the audio ess chip, if we dont find it in the port replicator

Hi guys ! I want a honest answer before we spend a lot of time trying very special or difficult experience.

Is pcmcia compatible enough with isa to
connect a isa gameport card to pcmcia ?

i have all pinout for isa, pcmcia and gameport.

my father and me want to do some tests.

i want to connect this isa gameport card to pcmcia ?

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/355967226665

does it have a chance to work or we will be missing important connections point or voltage problem.

i want after that to try to install service driver in dos and install several different pcmcia gameport driver to get the gameport recognize in dos ?

does it have a chance to work ? are we losing our time ? thanks for the truth and your answer.

( About to add a gameport to the laptop t2150cdt its possible, but its a serious very long job to create that pcb to get it working, without knowing if something will be missing because no diagram exist of the port replicator, so we are not sure )

( we could try first instead, to connect each point of a isa gameport and chips on the card to the connect point of the port replicator, but im not sure at all the ess688 will recognize the isa gameport card, it doesnt seem realistic to me, and some voltage could be missing. you can give me your opinion )

we make these things for fun, i still have my dynapoint gamestar that works great with the keyboard controller things 😉

i found this topic, its not very encouraging:

https://forum.vcfed.org/index.php?threads/are … mpatible.48559/

still i just want a gameport isa card, but some problem will arise like

... But apparently the +12/-5/-12V rails are not available on PCMCIA

- lack of DMA, not important for gameport

...Even if you solved some of the other issues one other issue would be there would be no Card Information Structure (CIS) so no standard Card Service software would would work for the adapter without that. You would have to write some software of your own to configure the socket controller. I haven't looked at the details of that stuff for almost 20 years and forget the details now

Hmm, let me know what you think. Thanks
