Hi! one thing always bother me of S3 cards, are that mode 320x240 is 73hz... wtf! emulators and software that spects the regular 60hz give me problems

i was checking S3 bios, and i found this

this is mode 320x240 and 08 is vtotal i guess, then if i change to 40 (320) the refresh rate becase 60! great, emulators like kgen98 that works too fast, now work great! BUT, the always but... some emulators like Callus they dont detect 320x240 mode anymore, and even kgen98 that works great now, if i want to select 320x240x16bits is not possible, say is not detected neither, only 8bits

scitech vesa solve the 73hz problem, when loaded 320x240 became 60hz and all modes work, callus 16bits, etc BUT this is not a solution, since inside windows 95 for example, 320x240 modes are 73hz, and 320x240 modes that are not vesa, still are 73hz

Any idea guys?
