Hi,

I recently got the news that my disability got worse, and I gotta take more medication that makes my hands shake to prevent life threatening episodes.

So I can give up on soldering for good.

But I do have a moving box full of ISA, PCI and AGP cards that need something like that, including:

- Creative CT1920 Goldfinch (basically the synthesizer part of a Sound Blaster AWE 32 or 64 without the rest, can be combined with any other sound card, needs no DMA or IRQ, gives you up to 28 MB General MIDI sound fonts), needs a line out jack transplant

- A GUS PnP clone with only 512 KB RAM, needs a second RAM module soldered on top of the first one, and a single cable connected to the AMD Interwave chip

- Guillemot Maxi Sound 64 Dynamic 3D (ESS 1868F + Dream SAM with 2+ up to 16 MB 72pin SIMM memory), gets detected and IRQ and DMA are assigned, drivers install fine but no audio output whatsoever, needs troubleshooting

- Creative Sound Blaster AWE 32 Value CT4520 with original 8 MB expansion module, does not detect ANY memory, not even the internal 512K, works fine otherwise

- 3x ATI FireGL X1-256 AGP Pro (basically a Radeon 9700 Pro with 256 MB memory and only works in AGP Pro slots) artifacting

- 2x Gigabyte Geforce 6800 GT (interesting design with heatsink on both sides and illuminated fan on the back), artifacting

- 3x Cirrus Logic CL-GD5428 VLB graphics cards, no video output whatsoever

- Leadtek Geforce FX 5700 Ultra, artifacting

- my childhood Club3D Geforce 6600 GT AGP, just needs a recap

- Geforce 4 Ti 4600, artifacting

- Geforce 4 Ti 4800 SE, artifacting

- a WavetablePi (DIY wavetable daughterboard, I did my best when my hands shook less but probably just screwed up a solder joint somewhere)

and also some motherboards, like a previously working Gigabyte GA-486AM (Socket 3, 1024k cache, up to 66 MHz FSB, ISA&PCI slots) that does not POST any more, a socket 479 (Pentium M) board that needs a recap.

There is more but this is the most exciting stuff I guess.

Anyway, I'm looking for help fixing these in the EU or even Germany to not die from shipping & customs.

I'm not exactly wealthy but I can pay for the help and/or offer hardware in return.

Would appreciate any advice where I could find help.

Edit: added a picture of most of the expansion cards, that S3 Virge or whatever is just a memory donor.

Where in Germany are you located?
I live in the Stuttgart Area where I can recommend Shackspace for Help on Repairs.
You may ask in the german forum "forum.classic-computing.de" too. There are many skilled people there, maybe close to your location.

Niedersachsen, specifically the East Frisia area (north western Germany, bicycle distance to the dutch border).

Thanks for the advice, I'll try asking there!
