Reboot loop happens after installing TCP/IP on Windows 3.11 for Workgroups

I installed TCP/IP-32 3.11b on the network card settings menu for my Netscape Navigator 4.08 (the latest version works on Windows 3.11, not just 3.1), but when I try to type the "win" in the MS-DOS prompt after installing the TCP driver, it restarts itself and when I typed "win" again, the reboot happens again, which is a sort of restart looping. So, if I uninstall the TCP/IP, there won't be a reboot loop and if I want to keep the TCP/IP, the reboot goes again. Does anyone have the same issue or am I just alone?

I'm running Windows 3.11 for Workgroups on 86box and here's my specs:
Machine type: [1995] Socket 7 (Single Voltage)
Machine: [i430FX] ASUS P/I-P55TP4XE
CPU: Intel Pentium 133
Memory: 32 MB
Display card: [PCI] Cirrus Logic GD5446 (voodoo 1 enabled)
Network Card: SLiRP, [ISA16] Novell NE2000 (address 0x300, IRQ 5)
Sound card: Sound Blaster 1.6 (address 0x220, IRQ 7)

Might be from using the tcpip stack with the slirp driver, instead of the ndis driver?

Is there a reason you need the slirp driver?

You mean the null driver and not the slirp? Does that work for you?

I would try switching from IRQ 5 to 10 - that's what I have mine set to with no issues. IIRC IRQ 5 is usually for LPT.

My Windows for Workgroups machine is a 486 DX33MHz because that was the last DOS PC I owned.

You're using PCem. What I'm having is the problem of the reboot loop on the 86Box that I'm talking about this network card, I'm just here to get some help.

Ahh, I was thinking real hardware.

Thus, 'why slirp? Are you using some off the wall packet driver on that ne2000? Why?'

'Inside a virtual machine' answers that.

As I understand it, x86box has known crash behaviors. I'd start looking there.

One of my pet projects has been to either migrate or recreate the Windows for Workgroups 3.11 machine I have running in PCEM in 86Box.

I downloaded the latest 64 bit build for Windows (86Box-Windows-64-b8200).

Setting your machine type/NIC combo I was able to select IRQ 9.

I haven't had the time to test because I am trying to re-create the 486 PCEM machine in 86Box to hopefully get 100Mbit support.

If you still have problems go into your BIOS and disable LPT port to free up IRQ 5.

I had to reinstall Windows 3.11 with different specifications this time. Internet is now working with Realtek. I appreciate your help, people, but I had to install it again
