Hi,
I tried to install driver for my SBAWE64 Value (Pentium Pro system) in WinNT4.0 SP6. I used probably the latest version with ISA PnP enabler driver that I installed first. After installation of AWE driver and restart NT booted with sound enabled and fully functional (including MIDI, I was able to load soundfont file) but I cannot open Multimedia Control Panel anymore. I got an error telling something like
rundll failed to load mmsys.cpl [OK]
once. After further reboots I didn't get this error but Multimedia Control Panel still cannot open (mouse cursor changes to hourglass for a 1/10s and nothing happen, no visible process appeared in task manager). I tried to replace mmsys.cpl from a backup but the file was not broken so it didn't change anything. The only way to give it back is to revert part of registry from a backup before I installed the driver (system32\config\software) but of course it also "uninstall" the driver.

Did someone else had such issues with AWE64 or mmsys.cpl in NT4?
