So I have my dad setup with my old gaming PC, he's a Planst vs Zombies fanatic.
Previously he was hooked up to a CRT monitor and PvZ running at its native 800x600 100hz was perfectly frame paced, all the scrolling and pea shooting and all that is perfectly smooth.
He decides he's old and needs a bigger screen, so now he has a 32" 1440p 144hz monitor.
So I switched dgvoodoo from forcing 600p 100hz to just run at the desktop res+refresh, with Freesync managing the refresh, but now the frame pacing is off a little. You see some hitches in scrolling and animations.
I tried forcing 1440p 100hz and it looks the same.
What do you guys think is going on here with the frame pacing? Why is it bad suddenly?
I wasn't able to get direct 600p 100hz running correctly on the LCD because the GPU will try to use GPU upscaling and it kinda breaks the rendering.
This is Windows 11, 8GB RAM, radeon r9 380x, i7 3770k
