But when i put in gtx 770 asus it works as in it shows in device manager gtx 770.

Which NVidia driver version is installed? Does it support the gtx770? Check via https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/
In device manager when you Right/Click on it and choose Properties what does it report, post a screen shot.

Hi Guys,

368.81 is the latest to support gtx 770. I have driver older versions. What I dont understand is quadro k620 and gtx 560 ti auto install after i put them into the pc. When I switch out for the gtx 770 asus. it boots and displays on the monitor from the display port. I go into windows device and says its a gtx 770 but needs drivers. I force drivers from the nvidia 368.81 and it warns me that it is not compatible do you want to proceed, onces it installs its says successful installed gtx 770 please restart. I restart and no nvida controls and in the same situation.

thank you for your help

Your shouldn't have to force install the driver.

The Nvidia install package should just work.

It is possible that your specific card does not have the PCI ID in the .inf file.

Your shouldn't have to force install the driver.

There are cases when you have to such as installing the WXP-x32 drivers on 2003-x32. When you run the installer it says OS not supported and won't install.

I had to do this to for my 2 x GTX 285s.

To attach files expand Attachments and press +Add files.

You need to reboot and then post the same screen again as some of the issues may go away after the reboot.

As I said before, Right/Click on the problem device and select properties.

Include both device manager + properties in the screen shot, don't post a photo, press PrtSC, paste it into such as mspaint, save it as a .PNG file and attach the .PNG file.
