I am getting the error "EMM386 Not Installed - Unable to Set Page Frame Base Address" when trying to create/simulate EMS.

I have tried disabling the options in the BIOS:
* BIOS Shadow Video
* System BIOS Shadow
* Shadow C000–DFFF
* Cacheable ROM
But it has been of no use.

I have also tried a more specific line in CONFIG.SYS.
DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.EXE RAM FRAME=D000 X=C000-CFFF
But I am getting the message: "WARNING: ROM or RAM option detected in page frame. Press any key when ready..."
Also, some games like Prehistorik 2 does not work.

Is there anything else I can do?

Why are you using the 'FRAME' option? Just try EMM386.EXE RAM 2048
