Apologies if this is the wrong forum for this question. I had tried to post in DosBox Patches, but my permissions wouldn't allow me to which was a bit strange.
I have a couple of images of scenery disk floppies for use with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2. I find that for some of these images (not all), I am able to boot them in DosBox-Staging, but I am not able to IMGMOUNT them.
My config file is set up to either BOOT or IMGMOUNT multiple floppy images, but when IMGMOUNTing, I cannot include a couple of these disks.
I'm curious as to why this might be? What information is DosBox-Staging looking for on the disk image when IMGMOUNTING, that it doesn't appear to require when booting? If I'm able to identify what's required, I'm hopeful of inserting this information into the disk image resulting in a successful IMGMOUNT.
I've reviewed the problem disk images, and what they all have in common is just about zero information on Side 0 Track 0, the boot sector and what not.
For those curious as to why this should matter if I'm able to boot the images - the reason is because when the images are booted, the mouse driver fails to load meaning I can't use the mouse when booting. When IMGMOUNTING, obviously I can so this is the preferred method.
