Hi guys,

I have a 486 PC that I got for free from a convention's free table last year, and I recently decided to install OS/2 Warp 3 (Connect) on it. Everything works as intended (Sound card, MIDI, Video Playback, etc) and I am able to get the card's 256 colour output with it (t's a Trident TGUI9400CXi 1MB).

However, when I use my video card's drivers and set the display to 256 colour, the Windows apps and the full screen mode for the Windows environment is all glitched out and is basically unusable. When I revert back to the stock VGA drivers, the Windows apps and full screen environment works just fine. DOS apps are unaffected by the drivers (Probably unrelated to the issue, but still worth noting).

If you have any ideas on what I could do to resolve this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Which driver version are you using (later than version 3.0.01b from October 94?). Don't think Trident OS/2 Warp 3 support for the 9400 was that great - have seen similar reports of winos2 problems with this chip.
