Hello,
I've got recently a microsoft compaq LTE ELITE 4/50E thta hadn't been used in quite sometime and as I was looking aroud to see what I can do with it online, I discovered that it is supposed to display colour (as it has a paintbrush app).
Unfortunatly the one in my hands doesn't display any color other than black and white with shades of grey, and was wondering if there would be anyone out there that would potentially know how to fix it or simply know how the comptuer opperates as I would love to use it for simple things like writing and coding.

Hi,

I have did a quick search to familiarize myself with the machine and one of the first results were:

According to that the in-built display is greyscale(The page calls it monochrome, but that is not exactly right as there are multiple shades), the external VGA connector is the one supposed to put out colour.

EDIT: If you check the service manual linked on that page, this computer indeed also sold with a colour display, but the one you have seems to me to be the greyscale display option model.
