Paul Simon - Graceland

What a fabulous song (and album)! Like, you just gotta sing along right?
When I was a teenager, I'd play the CD in my '84 Celica and just crank the absolute bobbins out of it. I mean, it was so loud that I'd actually see the headlights kinda pulse along to the beat at night!

Questionable electrical aside, I loved everything about that old clunker! The stick shift, the cd changer and subs I installed in the boot myself, the air con that never worked ("that's why I'm smokin', baby"), not to mention the much younger fellow driving it.

Would I go back, if time travel were a thing? Well, for reasons I cannot explain* there's some part of me that would like to see Standard Def Teenager again, perhaps for a weekend. I wouldn't stay any longer than that though. 😉

*Actually, I can totally explain it, but that's not how the song goes, so...

Hi,

Today I listened to the OST of a less well known DOS game "Ironseed", so many people are not aware that this game had the Dimension 2012 soundtrack before Crusader, honestly if it would have been less of a buggy mess that game could have rivalled Star Control 2, the concept of commanding a starship crewed by uploaded human minds was kind of an unique idea (At least in games, I remember something similar in written Sci-Fi, but I think that only had a single person's mind uploaded into a ship).
(I still consider the Crusader games quiet good regardless if the first maps music originated in that game or not 😀)

For non game music I have listened to Arpanet and Nightwish 😁

I've been really enjoying watching concert footage of Rush on their Fifty Something Tour. They've exceeded expectations in every category. Anika is kicking ass on drums, Geddy is nailing the bass and surprisingly revived his vocal range, and Alex is holding down the fort with his guitar. I had half a mind to spending $1000 on tickets and more on a 4 hour drive and a hotel room for me and the family, but I'm glad I didn't. They ended up postponing the dates I was planning on attending when Geddy got laryngitis and bronchitis. I'll just silently watch everyone's YT concert footage and wish I was there in person.

The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know.
