Hi, perhaps someone here is familiar with 386-based highscreen systems. I’m currently trying to revive an old Vobis Highscreen notebook (Highscreen 386SX20). Everything is working so far, except the LPT1 port isn't being detected. The serial port—which works perfectly—is connected via the same ribbon cable. The ribbon cable running from the LPT1 port to the motherboard looks undamaged, too; I’ve already tried unplugging and reconnecting it and tried another one I know works. I’m wondering if there might be an underlying issue causing the LPT1 port not to be detected at all. This model doesn't offer any BIOS settings for the port.
Does anyone have any ideas on what to try or why the port might not be working? I want to use it for an adlib sound card.
