I'm looking to buy this IDE 80 wire cable https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005012268193502.html

The title and description only list ATA100 (and lower) but it should be able to do 133 since there's nothing (other than 40 wire vs 80 wire) to stop it just maxing out, right?

ATA 100 and 133 used the same cables, it will be fine.

Yep, no problems as expected. I'm using it in an original Xbox (modded with Cerbios) and they are sensitive to the whole UDMA6 thing, if it's not capable it won't even boot.

The cable won't be a problem. From an expectations management point of view, keep in mind that protocol overhead will keep the interface from truly hitting ATA 133 performance. You'll be lucky to hit 100.

Its an 80pin wire, it will do both ATA 100 and ATA 133.

This is indeed the problem we hit back in the day.
They never reached 133 speeds even when controller, drive and cable were all 133 capable.
not sure about the multi drive RAID controllers, but then they added multiple 133 channels together so doesnt really count.

Yeah also the seller got back to me and said they were only able to test up to ATA100 which I assume they're likely testing on intel chipsets which never supported ATA133 (outside of SATA IDE mode).
