Lotus 3 is one of my favorite old school DOS racing games. One limitation that always bothered me is the fact that you can't enable music + sfx together. You either select a music track, which disables sound effects, or select no music to hear the sound effects. I created this patch to enable both working together. It currently works only with Sound Blaster setting (I'll try to get Roland working later if I get a chance).

Please note that this is the original lotus 3 dat file. If you need to apply the speed sensitivity patch, you will need to apply it on top of this new dat file.

Nice, it really works!

I have version with lotus.dat which is 1 337 856 bytes and your version is 1 265 152 bytes. Is there any significant difference between them? Is there any reason why you didn't add patch for fast CPUs to your version?

What a blast from the past. Thanks, @Tamerator. The patch works fine for SB, AdLib and PC speaker. It will be even nicer, if you can make working sound effects when Roland music is selected.
